I am moving QVCS to a new machine and I want to bring over my old repositories and use them under my new QVCS install on the new machine. How can I do that ?
I can copy the current repositories to my new machine but I do not see how I tell QVCS how to use an already populated repository for a New... project. |

Try this:
1. After you have moved the existing archives to your new machine... 2. In QWin3, define a new project. For the archive location for the new project, select the location of the archive files that you copied over from your old machine. That should be all you need to do. You may need to rebuild the cache for all your directories: navigate to a directory, select the directory in the tree control on the left of the screen, and type the F4 function key. Alternately, you could manually delete all Q$QCache files located in the archive directory tree. -------------------- Jim Voris -- Author of QVCS/QVCS-Pro/QVCS-Enterprise
